Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) Technology
This procedure room features advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) technology, allowing our surgeons to perform orthopedic procedures through smaller incisions with greater precision. MIS techniques can reduce tissue disruption, minimize scarring, and often lead to faster recovery times—helping patients get back to their daily activities sooner and with less discomfort.
Mobility Devices
From walkers and crutches to wheelchairs and knee scooters, the inpatient rehab gym offers a variety of mobility aids. Therapists train patients in their safe, effective use to support independence during recovery.
PACU Nurse Station
Located at the center of the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, the nurse station provides clear visibility to every patient bay, ensuring continuous observation and rapid response. From this hub, our specialized PACU nurses monitor vital signs, manage pain control, and coordinate care with the surgical and anesthesia teams—keeping patient safety and comfort at the forefront during surgery preparation and recovery.
Parking & Valet Services
HSS at NCH offers convenient parking options to make every visit stress-free. Patients and visitors can take advantage of complimentary valet parking at the main entrance or park in the nearby garage just steps from the facility. Both options provide quick, easy access to appointments and services.
Patient Care Bays
There are 15 semi-private, as well as 2 fully private patient care bays, that are well-equipped spaces designed for safe and comfortable recovery after surgery. Here, patients are closely monitored with advanced equipment, provided oxygen or warming therapy as needed, and cared for by highly trained nurses until they are ready to transition to their next stage of recovery.
Patient Transfer Equipment
Specialized patient transfer equipment allows care teams to safely assist patients in and out of bed with minimal strain or discomfort. This technology reduces fall risk, supports proper body mechanics, and helps patients begin mobility exercises as early as possible in their recovery.

High-definition monitors in the Arthrex Observation Suite stream live video from the operating room, giving observers a close-up view of the surgical field and techniques in real time. Ambulatory Surgical Center
Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) received a $7.5 million gift from The Kapnick Foundation to support the construction of HSS at NCH's orthopedic surgical center. The Kapnick Foundation’s philanthropy has been guided by its deep-rooted commitment to supporting institutions focused on improving communities. The Kapnick Foundation and the Kapnick family are dedicated to supporting HSS’s objective of expanding access to musculoskeletal care. This latest donation builds upon the Kapnicks’ previous support to expand the facilities on the HSS main campus in New York City.
Training Stairs
These therapy stairs help patients safely rebuild strength, balance, and confidence for navigating steps at home. Adjustable heights and secure railings allow therapists to tailor exercises to each patient’s needs.
Vital Signs Monitors
In the PACU, vital signs monitors continuously track each patient’s heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels, and breathing as they recover from anesthesia. This real-time data allows nurses and anesthesiologists to respond quickly to any changes, ensuring a safe and smooth transition from surgery to recovery.
Patty & Jay Baker Pavilion
Naples philanthropists Patty and Jay Baker donated a $20 million matching grant to support the construction of the Patty & Jay Baker Pavilion, a cutting-edge and full-service orthopedic medical facility at NCH North Naples Hospital. The Bakers’ generous contribution is a major milestone in advancing healthcare in the region, continuing their long history of philanthropy.
