Clinic Room
We offer a variety of general and specialty pediatric services, all housed in the same location for an improved patient experience. By using visual displays and incorporating interesting artwork, we strive to make the clinic space as patient-friendly as possible.
Patient Room
We pride ourselves in providing many of the comforts of home during your child's hospital stay. The large, private rooms feature sleeping accommodations for parents, a shower, a small refrigerator for perishable snacks and a flat-panel TV/computer for entertainment and connecting with friends and family. Meals can be ordered through our room service-style dining option and delivered right to your bedside.
Family Learning Center
Located on the first floor, the Family Learning Center provides parents and caretakers the latest health information through a variety of tools and resources to better understand their child's condition, including books, videos, brochures, computer stations and interactive educational experiences.
Thrall Family Playroom
The Thrall Family Playroom provides a sanctuary for children where they can express themselves through play, art and games, and includes a dedicated adolescent room for older children/teens to enjoy.
Adolescent Playroom
Our dedicated space for adolescents includes a pool table, music, arcade games, a computer, board games and a 42-inch plasma screen TV, offering the entertainment and escape teens need to unwind and catch-up with friends.
Closed Circuit Broadcast
For children who are unable to join the games hosted in the playroom, we broadcast activities to patient rooms live, over our Closed Circuit TV Channel, so everyone is able to participate.
Expressive Therapies
Patients can express themselves and their fears in a safe, supportive environment through a variety of therapeutic programs, including art, music, pet therapy, story time, magicians, cooking and science. Our music and art therapists provide group and individual bedside sessions.
Play Area
Play areas are available on most floors in the hospital, each featuring games, toys and books to keep patients, siblings and visiting children entertained.
Cardiac Catheterization Lab
Our state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization lab features the latest tools and technology, enabling our physicians to perform complex, minimally invasive cardiac procedures to diagnose and treat a wide range of heart conditions.

NICU
Featuring 47 tertiary care beds and 18 convalescent beds, we have one of the largest neonatal intensive care units in the Midwest. Our neonatology specialists have extensive experience and deliver high-quality, compassionate tertiary and quaternary care for critically ill infants. We also provide accommodations for families, like our Ronald McDonald Family Room®, so parents can remain close while their child is in intensive care.
Ronald McDonald Family Room®
The Ronald McDonald Family Room serves as a relaxing haven for families whose children and newborns are receiving treatment at the hospital. Located within the neonatal intensive care unit, the space provides a home-like atmosphere that allows families to rest and rejuvenate.Approximately 2,265 square feet, the Family Room includes eight sleep rooms with private bathrooms, a hospitality lounge, coffee station, dining tables, television area, laundry facilities and multiple sitting areas.
Trauma
As a Level 1 Trauma Center, our physicians deliver immediate, highly specialized pediatric emergency services, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our trauma facility features advanced diagnostic and medical equipment, and each room is only steps away from the ambulance bay, ensuring fast, comprehensive emergency care.
