Walkway to Bayshore Pavilion Lobby
The Women’s Center is located on the fourth floor of the Bayshore Pavilion. Visitors can access the Bayshore Pavilion from the hospital’s Main Entrance via a glass-enclosed walkway.
OB Waiting Area
Tampa General Hospital’s Women's Center has two separate waiting areas – one for families of patients in labor and one for families of patients undergoing surgery. The OB waiting area, with expansive views and comfortable seating, provides a relaxing environment for families. The area also offers small-scale furniture and kids' activities for families with children. Patient education materials are available as well as free wireless Internet access
OB Triage/Pre-Operative Room
The Women’s Center has 12 private triage / pre-operative rooms. Each room has a private bathroom and is equipped with a telephone and television. Bedside computers allow caregivers to enter and view patient information quickly and privately.
Labor/Delivery Suite
Designed to feel more like bedrooms, the 21 labor / delivery suites make patients and their families feel at home. Each suite was designed with soft colors, wood-like floors, wood cabinets for medical equipment and storage, televisions with DVD-VCR-CD players and private bathrooms and showers. Each room has a large window with an expansive view, space for family and a large built-in sofa that can open into a bed.
OB Surgical Recovery Unit
The Women’s Center has a five-bed OB surgical recovery unit that supports family-centered couplet care. Babies remain with mothers from the OR to recovery and beyond.
Gyn Waiting Area
Separate from the OB waiting area, the GYN surgery waiting area offers families a quiet, comfortable space with expansive water views, comfortable seating and free wireless Internet access.
GYN Pre- and Post-Procedure Unit
Adjacent to the GYN surgery waiting area, the 10-bed, private pre-operative / recovery unit is dedicated to GYN surgery patients. Bedside computers allow caregivers to enter and view patient information quickly and privately.
Surgical Suite
The Women’s Center has four OB surgical suites for C-Sections that are large enough to accommodate multiple births. The In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) laboratory also uses these surgical suites. In addition, the center has four GYN surgical suites dedicated to GYN surgery patients.
Women's Center Garden
At approximately 4,600-square-feet, the beautifully landscaped Women's Center Garden offers a peaceful environment for Women’s Center patients and families. This non-smoking area is equipped with lighting for enjoyment at night as well.
