TrueBeam™
UC Irvine Medical Center is one of the few places in Orange County to offer TrueBeam ™ STx, the latest in radiation oncology therapy. The state-of-the-art linear accelerator delivers highly focused radiation beams much faster and more precisely than conventional radiotherapy. It is used to treat cancers throughout the body, including brain, breast, head and neck, lung, abdomen and prostate.

Trilogy
The cancer center also uses the Varian Trilogy™ linear accelerator with RapidArc™ for radiation therapy. This innovative technology offers distinct advantages over traditional radiation treatments because it can deliver precise amounts of radiation in a single rotation, minimizing exposure of surrounding tissue.
We know these experiences can seem daunting, so ourtrained staff members remain present during the process to make sure you are in good hands. We want you to feel safe and comfortable throughout your treatment.
Infusion
Our infusion area offers both comfort and privacy, while ensuring our experienced nurses and support staff are close at hand. Each station has a spacious infusion chair and ample room for personal belongings. There’s also a chair for guests to keep patients company and help them relax during treatment.
