Emergency Department
The Paul F. Reinhart Emergency Trauma Center at Hurley Medical Center delivers the highest quality of adult emergency and trauma care in the region. In addition, all patients 65-plus are “fast-tracked” bypassing the waiting room and getting care promptly, regardless of severity of their medical condition.Convenient Parking

Main Lobby
Our spacious main lobby is designed to make everyone feel welcome. From the moment you walk in our doors, our priority is to ensure that you are welcomed at our Information Desk and guided to your destination. You will also find easy access to Jazzman’s Coffee, Hurley Gift Shop, Cafeteria and Admitting right here in the main lobby.

At Hurley Medical Center, we understand how meaningful it can be to send flowers and/or a gift to a patient. The Lobby Shop in our Main Lobby has an excellent assortment of flowers and gifts to choose from. Call to send a gift or arrangement to your loved one at (810) 262-9306.Hours:

Labor and Delivery
When it comes time for you to deliver, Hurley’s Labor and Delivery Unit is equipped with nine large Labor & Delivery rooms, able to accommodate your support team while keeping you and your baby’s safety in mind. If there are no complications, you will recover from labor in this room and your newborn will be able to stay with you. Once you have recovered, you will be transferred to the Mother-Baby Unit. Our goal is to keep your baby with you at your bedside.
Mother / Baby
Our Mother-Baby rooms provide a private family space for bonding after delivery. Mothers can continue skin-to-skin contact, breastfeeding, and receive support from staff. This gives families the opportunity to learn about the care of their newborn so they truly feel prepared when they go home.
NICU
With the region’s ONLY Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), we are ready if a premature or critically ill baby is born at Hurley or is transferred here from another hospital. No matter where you choose to deliver your baby, even in a time of crisis, they will turn to us. Our specialized ambulance is always on standby to transport your precious newborn to Hurley’s NICU. For the best chance of survival, these fragile lives require the expert, highly-specialized critical care only available here.
MRI
Hurley was the first hospital in the region to have MRI technology in-house. Having direct access offers our patients an additional advantage of speed and accessibility when making diagnoses or when patient conditions change rapidly. Our MRI suite offers patients access to the latest technology in a stress-free environment. The exams are performed in a softly-lit, tranquil, upscale atmosphere. Every effort is made to control the environment and comfort of the patient in every step of the process.
Outpatient Clinic
At our Patrick Street entrance you’ll find our newly renovated Outpatient Care Center. This specialized area offers services that include: Urgent Care, Wound Care, Lab, MRI, Occupational Health, Infusion Clinic and Outpatient Clinics. The area has a large designated parking area and easy access available.
Pediatric ER Waiting Room
The Hurley Children’s Hospital emergency department, the only one of its kind in the region, represents the highest level of pediatric emergency care anywhere with a highly-trained clinical staff specialized in making emergency treatment less scary. With a separate entrance and waiting area, the cutting-edge facility features décor and distraction games to keep young children engaged, in addition to specially- sized medical equipment for children’s diagnosis and treatment.
Adult ED
The Adult Emergency Department at Hurley Medical Center delivers the highest quality of emergency and trauma care in the region. In addition, all patients 65-plus are “fast-tracked” bypassing the waiting room and getting care promptly, regardless of severity of their medical condition.
Trauma Bay
The Paul F. Reinhart Emergency Trauma Center at Hurley Medical Center delivers the highest quality of adult and pediatric trauma care in the region. With a highly skilled staff that includes E.R. physicians provided by the University of Michigan, and Trauma Surgeons on campus 24/7, Hurley features the region’s only Level I Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center (the highest designations possible), offering the most comprehensive care in the area to all adults and children.
EPIC
Hurley’s utilization of an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) allows timely exchange of electronic information. Benefits for our patients include:• Ability to exchange patient records with 49 other medical organizations, spanning 34 states
• Improved accuracy and completeness of history and medications and previous procedures/treatments
• Allergies and adverse drug reactions are prominently displayed

Pediatrics
Our pediatric department provides the most outstanding clinical care for our region’s children and their families. In order to provide our children with the very best physicians, nurses, and treatment options available, not only now but in the future, we have Hurley Children’s Hospital, the premier pediatric medical facility in the region. This leading-edge facility, located within Hurley Medical Center, delivers the latest technologies and today’s most innovative treatments, eliminating the need for families to travel far from home for specialized services. In addition, it has been designed around the comfort and well-being of our patients and their families, and specializes in patient- and family-centered care.
Microsoft Game Room Winner
In the fall of 2009, Microsoft partnered with Children’s Miracle Network in an online contest that would prove the power of social media here in Flint. Out of 170 CMN hospitals, Hurley received 2,156,400 votes to win a X-Box Gameroom for the pediatric department.

Hurley/YMCA Wellness Hub
Stop by the Hurley/YMCA Wellness Hub located inside of the Flint Farmers Market where you can pick up educational information about various health topics, recipe cards, and more! The Hub also features cooking/fitness demonstrations and special health events each month.Flint Farmers’ Market Hours
